The RSCS leak test kit is designed for use with any alpha, beta, or gamma emitting sources such as those used in radiography, well logging, moisture density gauging, nuclear medicine, medical therapy and other applications.
It can be used for direct swabbing of the source or source capsule. It can also be used in applications where smearing of the source or source capsule is impractical or unsafe because of the potential radiation hazard to the person performing the smear by swabbing the inside surface of the source container, housing well, etc.

Sample Analysis
In addition to leak testing services, RSCS provides gas flow proportional (GFP) analysis of smears for alpha and/or beta contamination with a variety of reporting options. We have partnered with GEL Laboratories to provide the highest quality analysis of a variety of media, including air samples, water, soil and mixed waste and can arrange for liquid scintillation, or gamma spectroscopy analysis of samples.
