Course Description
This comprehensive one-day online webinar course provides students with the guidelines for shipping radioactive materials in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) guidelines. This course covers the shipping process including general familiarization, identification, classification, packaging, marking, labeling and documentation.DOT required Function Specific Training in accordance with applicable local procedures and any additional Regulatory Requirements is verified by the signature of the Authorized Representative.
In addition, the curriculum covers the requirements for packages transported in accordance with International Air Transport Association requirements for shipments by air. The course includes practical sessions and case scenarios, and concludes with a Subpart H exam that meets the requirements for Transportation of Radioactive Material in accordance with 49 CFR 172 Subpart H and IATA.
