TelepoleTD

The TelepoleTD  is a training probe which connects to a real Mirion Telepole I telescoping gamma survey meter. The simulated probe is battery operated and provides automatic dose rate input to instrument using active “live” TWR Source(s) and manual dose rate input via SCC. Instrument retains all controls, alarms, and WRM2 telemetry capability. (Mirion Telepole I Telescoping Ratemeter available separately.)

Train Your Radworkers To:

  • Respond to dose rates based on distance to one or more TWR “Live” Sources
  • Understand 1/R2 principle
  • Hear audible click rate as radiation levels change
  • Operate all device controls
  • Observe dose rate scale changes
  • Observe realistic detector response
  • Recognize selected device faults and failures

Features:

  • Simulated probe connects to standard Mirion Telepole WR telescoping gamma survey meter
  • Automatic and manual simulated dose rate input to instrument
  • Realistic response to changes in dose rate
  • All controls and alarm conditions are functional
  • Works with WRM2 Telemetry
  • Simulates “Manual High Range” mode
